What is Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)?
CLOW brings the Word of God to the children of Saint Matthias (kindergarten through 2^nd grade) in an environment and at a level suited just for them. The children are dismissed by Father prior to the readings at the 10:30am and 1pm Sunday Masses. As a ministry leader, you will help the children learn from the readings for the day in a manner relevant to their age.

Who is needed for this ministry?
We are looking for anyone (leaders and helpers) with a willingness to share the Good News message with children and that fit the following:
Leaders: Age 21 or older
Helpers: Age 16 or older (this is a great way to serve the parish community for
those who are attending Confirmation classes)

When will you be needed?
Depending on the number of volunteers, you will lead the children 1-2 times a month at the Sunday Mass of your preference (10:30am or 1:00pm). You will find that 30-60 minutes of preparation time prior to your assigned Sunday will be helpful.

How will you serve in a ministry you do not know?
Once you get in contact with us and express your willingness and readiness to serve God through our St. Matthias’ children, you will be provided with training and support. Materials will be provided including readings and reference materials. Training will be scheduled depending on availability of volunteers.
